I am interested in how perception can be used to create conditions for a viewer to have an experience, a basis for exploration of form and anti-form, matter and antimatter. When working with physical materials I use the context of the space, namely architectural components and historical references, to create an illusion or to elicit a particular sensory response from a viewer within the space. It is a curatorial approach to producing sculptural installations, utilizing smell, lighting, sound, time, and texture to present each work.

These interests in influencing the experience of the viewer are connected in my sound art compositions; however, instead of presenting a multitude of conditions by use of materials, with sound compositions the variables are limited to the very minimal.
