April 30th - May 4th, 2009 More than an art fair, NEXT is a showcase for the world’s talents and an adventure in cutting-edge culture. An opportunity to redefine the relationship between art and its public, NEXT is a portal to seeing contemporary art in new, innovative, eye-opening ways. NEXT will include works from both commercial and non-commercial arts organizations--galleries, project spaces, art publications and key private contemporary collections from around the world. Skew proudly presented new work by Dave and Jenn, Alexander Caldwell and Barry Underwood. NEXT 2009 was located at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago, IL and was a part of Artropolis, a contemporary art event which included numerous exhibtions around the city such as the Art Institute of Chicago's MFA exhibition. Next was host to a series of curator's talks that drew more than 30 curators from across America to the event.
