Those familiar with the subject matter of Williamson’s paintings will recognize the eerie, melancholic dreamworld settings and characters depicted in the new works on display. Recognized on several occasions as one of the best painters of her generation, Williamson’s work promises to offer a unique view onto the world, as portrayed through the mind and memories of the maker.
Margaux Williamson was born in Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania. After receiving her BFA from Queens University in 1999 she relocated to Toronto, Ontario where she currently resides. In addition to her work being exhibited nationally, she has shown in London, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Chicago.
